Born in the City of a Thousand Kasbahs

I was born in 1989 in Ouarzazate, Morocco — a city famous for its ancient kasbahs, dramatic landscapes, and the warm light that has attracted filmmakers from around the world. Growing up surrounded by stories carved in clay and stone, I developed an early love for narrative in all its forms.

I hold a BA in Sociology, a discipline that taught me to listen — really listen — to the stories communities tell about themselves. That analytical lens shapes every book I read and every conversation I have on The Book cast.

"A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one."
— George R.R. Martin

This quote has guided my life more than any other. Reading, for me, is not a pastime — it is a way of multiplying experience, expanding empathy, and sharpening thought.

Why I Created The Book cast

The Book cast was born from a simple frustration: great books often stay locked inside the minds of people who read them. I wanted to break them open — to take the ideas, lessons, and stories from carefully chosen books and make them accessible, conversational, and alive.

Every episode I unpack a book across genres: self-development, entrepreneurship, philosophy, history, and fiction. My goal is always the same — give you something you can use, think about, or talk about by the time the episode ends.

The podcast is available on Spotify and YouTube, with new episodes dropping every week.
